Another REALLY simple recipe. Take the basic scone recipe, minus the cranberries, and you have a blank canvas to personalize to your hearts content. Try making them with dried cherries and macadamia nuts, or maybe even just rasins… or some lemon and poppy seed. Experiment! Have fun! Either way, here is my cranberry scones recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. COLD butter
- 1 cup cranberries (or more!!!)
- 2/3-3/4 c. COLD milk
Preheat your oven to 400 F or 200 C (or gas mark 6 if you live in the UK)
Mix your dry ingredients together then cut in your butter. Mix in berries then add the milk. (add a little over half, mix and assess… when it starts coming together, dont add any more.)
Bake for 20 minutes.
